The City Clerk-Treasurer and her team are dedicated to delivering the highest quality services to the public and departmental users. Ensuring that appropriate controls and procedures are in place to effectively manage and safeguard public resources in a reliable, meticulous, and accurate manner, in accordance with established federal, state, and municipal standards. The Clerk’s Office oversees all city financial functions, including utility billing, accounting, payroll processing, maintaining cemetery records, recording and documenting City Council actions, and preparing the annual budget for the City.

Duties and services include:

- Responding to customer inquiries  
- Handling connection and disconnection requests for utilities  
- Managing records and ensuring proper records retention  
- Maintaining and updating official documents, such as municipal codes  
- Managing website content and social media presence  
- Issuing public notifications for official activities and meetings  
- Coordinating committees and commissions  
- Preparing meeting agendas and related information packets  
- Drafting ordinances, resolutions, and proclamations  
- Processing public records requests  
- Managing claims for damages
