Lodging Tax Funding Cycle Opens September 1st, each year.
The City Council encourages organizations that promote tourism in the City of Elma and the greater Elma area, to apply during the month of September for awards issued the following year.
1. Submit Your Application

Request an application by email at: clerktreasurer [at] cityofelma.com (clerktreasurer[at]cityofelma[dot]com)
Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2025 to be considered for funding in the 2026 application cycle.
2. Supplemental Presentations
Applicants may be required to give a supplemental presentation, at the discretion of the Council. Presentations are anticipated to during October. You will be contacted if a presentation is required.
3. Funding Awarded
After Jan.1 -Funding award announced, service agreement signed, funds issued on a reimbursement basis.
Lodging Tax Award Timeline:
- Sept. 1 Lodging Tax Funding Applications Open
- Oct. 10th Lodging Tax Funding Applications Due by 5 p.m.
- October Council Reviews Applications
- October Supplemental Applicant Presentations
- November Council Recommends Budget to City Council
- January Funding Awards Issued
